The history of AirEuropa
Air Europa Líneas is a Spanish airline based in Mallorca. The airline was founded in 1984 - at that time still under the name Air España. The first routes in the range at that time were flights from Madrid to London and New York. A short time later, AirEuropa was operating 750 flights a week and thus advanced to become one of Europe's major airlines. It is also a member of the Skyteam Alliance.
AirEuropa flies primarily to vacation and city destinations in Northern and Western Europe, Africa, as well as South, Central and North America and the Caribbean. In German-speaking countries, destinations include Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich.
